What is MindWiki?

MindWiki is a local-first knowledge operating system with autonomous AI agents that organize, link, and find patterns in your knowledge — so you can focus on thinking, not filing.

Your vault is a folder of standard markdown files. If you already use Obsidian, you can open your MindWiki vault in Obsidian — they're fully compatible. But MindWiki is a standalone product, not a plugin.

The Problem

Every knowledge tool asks you to do the organizing. You capture an idea, then you have to decide where it goes, what it links to, and how it fits into what you already know. Most people give up after a few weeks because the maintenance overhead exceeds the value.

Meanwhile, your AI conversations (Claude, ChatGPT) start from zero every time. The brilliant insight you had last Tuesday? Gone. The connection you drew between two domains? Lost in a chat log you'll never revisit.

The Solution

MindWiki flips the script:

  • You capture — share-sheet, email, voice memo, or direct entry
  • AI organizes — weekly agents classify, format, and file your captures
  • AI links — auto-linker scans for related concepts and adds wikilinks
  • AI discovers — pattern detector finds structural similarities across domains
  • AI remembers — your vault connects to Claude/ChatGPT via MCP, giving your AI access to everything you've ever thought

Your notes are plain markdown files stored locally in Obsidian. MindWiki syncs them to Cloudflare's edge network and runs AI agents on a schedule. You own your data, and it lives in a format that will outlast any app.

Key Principles

  • Local-first: Your vault is a folder of markdown files on your machine
  • AI-augmented, not AI-dependent: The AI helps organize and connect — you do the thinking
  • No lock-in: Everything is plain text with standard wikilink syntax
  • Privacy-respecting: Your data stays on your infrastructure (Cloudflare account)
  • Compounding: Your knowledge graph gets denser and more valuable over time, automatically

Who is MindWiki for?

MindWiki is built for people who think across multiple domains — founders, researchers, writers, engineers, and polymath-minded professionals who want their knowledge to compound rather than scatter.

If you've ever wished your note-taking app would just *organize itself*, MindWiki is what you've been looking for.
