Plans and pricing
MindWiki offers three plans across iOS, macOS, and the MindWiki Cloud. Pricing is identical on every platform.
- Free — $0 forever. Unlimited pages, full-text and semantic search, capture from every platform, export to plain Markdown. MindWiki AI, voice capture, and live voice conversation require Pro or Power.
- Pro — $12.99 / month or $129 / year. 200 AI chat turns per month grounded in your vault, 60 minutes of live voice conversation, 120 minutes of voice capture with auto-transcription, 25 AI file operations, Auto-Linker, Weekly Classifier, Pattern Detection, Monthly Auto-Report, MCP server access with read and write scopes, 2 API keys.
- Power — $29.99 / month or $299 / year. Unlimited AI chat, 300 minutes of live voice per month, unlimited voice capture and transcription, unlimited AI file operations, MindWiki AI Vault Master on macOS, frontier model routing, first access to new AI features, 10 API keys, priority MCP rate limits, priority support with 24-hour response.
A current and authoritative list of features and quotas is on the pricing page. If the pricing page and this document disagree, the pricing page controls until this document is updated.
Billing platforms
The platform that bills you depends on where you subscribe.
- Web and macOS — billed by Stripe. Card data never touches MindWiki servers. Subject to Stripe's payment terms.
- iOS — billed by Apple via In-App Purchase, processed through RevenueCat. Charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subject to Apple's Standard EULA and the Apple Media Services Terms.
A subscription started on one platform applies to your MindWiki account on every platform. You don't pay twice. You can't, however, swap the billing platform after the fact — to switch (for example, from Apple IAP to Stripe), cancel on the original platform and re-subscribe on the new one.
Auto-renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the billing period until you cancel.
- Monthly plans renew every month on the day you started.
- Annual plans renew every year on the day you started.
- Renewal charges use the payment method on file at the time of renewal.
- On iOS, auto-renewal can be managed in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Apple charges within 24 hours of the renewal date.
- On web and macOS, auto-renewal can be managed in your billing settings via Stripe's customer portal.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal — it doesn't end the current period. You keep access to paid features through the end of the period you've already paid for, then drop to Free.
- Web / macOS — cancel from billing settings.
- iOS — cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → MindWiki. MindWiki cannot cancel an Apple IAP subscription on your behalf; only Apple can.
After downgrade to Free, your vault content stays intact and exportable. MindWiki AI, voice, and other paid features stop at the end of the billing period; your vault, search, capture, and export stay free forever.
Upgrades and downgrades
Upgrade from Free to Pro, or Pro to Power, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated against the time remaining on your current plan.
Downgrades from Power to Pro, or any paid plan to Free, take effect at the end of the current billing period. We don't pro-rate downgrades — you keep what you've already paid for, then drop to the lower tier.
On iOS, upgrades and downgrades follow Apple's standard subscription change rules. Apple may credit a small amount of the unused portion of your current plan toward the new one.
Refunds
We don't offer refunds for partial months or partial years on the web or macOS. Cancellation stops the next charge but doesn't refund the current one.
For iOS purchases, refunds are handled by Apple — request them at reportaproblem.apple.com. MindWiki has no authority to issue refunds for Apple IAP transactions; only Apple does.
If something goes badly wrong on our end — a sustained outage, a billing error, or a charge for a tier you didn't purchase — email support@mindwiki.io and we'll make it right.
Quotas and overages
Paid tiers include monthly quotas for AI chat turns, voice conversation minutes, voice capture minutes, and AI file operations. Quota resets at the start of each billing cycle.
When you exhaust a quota mid-cycle, the affected feature pauses until the next reset. We don't charge overage fees and we don't silently degrade other features. The app tells you when a quota is depleted; you can upgrade to a higher tier for more.
Vault storage, page count, search, capture, export, and links are unmetered on every paid tier.
Price changes
We may change prices. If we do, current subscribers will receive at least 30 days' notice via email before the new price takes effect on their next renewal. You can cancel before the renewal to avoid being charged the new price.
On iOS, Apple may also send its own subscription price-change notification per its standard rules.
Free trials and promotions
If we offer a free trial or promotional discount, the terms of that specific offer (length, eligibility, conversion behavior) will be displayed at the point of purchase. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, trials convert automatically to a paid subscription at the standard price when the trial ends.
Apple's standard rule applies on iOS: cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
Accounts, vault data, and termination
Your vault content is yours regardless of subscription tier. Downgrading to Free, cancelling, or letting a subscription lapse does not delete your vault. You can export it as a Markdown ZIP at any time from the iOS app, macOS app, or web account settings.
Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation. To permanently remove your account and vault, use the danger zone in account settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Relationship to the main Terms of Service
This document expands on the "Subscriptions and billing" section of the main Terms of Service. The main Terms still apply. Where the two documents conflict, this document controls for subscription-related questions.
